I was tired of doing my agency's job for them

I spent over a decade working in medical devices at companies like Johnson & Johnson, CR Bard and Spinal Modulation, leading sales teams, managing product portfolios and running international marketing campaigns.

But every time I hired a marketing agency, I hit the same wall. They were talented, but they didn't understand medical devices. Every project meant hours of my time moderating their work, correcting clinical detail, explaining regulatory constraints, and essentially doing the thinking for them while still paying their fees.

I already had too much on my plate to be hand holding an agency that was supposed to be making my life easier.

So I started Podymos with a simple belief: there should be an agency that lives and breathes medical devices. One that acts as specialist support to MedTech companies, not another generalist. That is why we only work in medical devices. It is all we know, and it is all we do.

We work with a wide range of companies, from pre-commercial venture-backed startups with project budgets starting at around £20,000, all the way through to multinational corporations with budgets exceeding £1 million per year. What's important is that regardless of who we work with, we tailor our approach to your needs, as every technology is different and has its own promotional requirements.

Podymos was founded in the UK, and we work internationally, supporting MedTech companies across the UK, US and Europe. We focus on these geographies because we understand the regulations in these regions exceptionally well, which means we can create impactful, compliant campaigns that add real value to every client we work with.

When you work with Podymos, you'll be assigned a dedicated account manager who leads all of your projects, so you have one point of contact. Your account manager will organise our internal team, including graphic designers, videographers, copywriters and your core marketing team, to make sure your timelines are met and your work is delivered to the highest possible standard.

All of our account managers come from the medical device industry, so whoever you work with will quickly understand your technology and become an important member of the team. Our goal is to understand 80% of your technology before we even speak, so you only need to top up the final 20% that only you and your team know.

At Podymos, we're dedicated to medical devices. It's all we do. We typically work with Class II and Class III devices, as well as SaMD (Software as a Medical Device).

Our experience covers interventional and implantable devices, along with devices that require HCP guided use or prescription, spanning from neuromodulators to intermittent catheters and advanced wound dressings.

In terms of services, we're specialists in creating impactful materials and campaigns that simplify complex technologies. That includes developing clear and impactful messaging, designing campaigns that drive awareness, crafting interactive sales tools to shorten your sales cycle, and creating educational materials.

If you've got any questions about whether we can support you with the marketing of your device, don't hesitate to ask. If it's not something we excel at, we'll happily say so, as the quality of our work is the most important thing to us. We only take on projects we know we can deliver to an exceptional standard.

Hardly at all, and there's a really good reason for that. Two values sit at the core of everything we do: service and quality. The only way we can maintain that is by having all of our services in-house, which is why graphic design, videography, content marketing and our accounts team all sit under one roof.

There are occasional situations where we do outsource a small part of a project, for something like specialist animation programming that we don't yet have in-house, but these are rare. It's all about quality and service.

We use two main pricing structures: project-based or hourly.

Most clients prefer project-based pricing, where the cost is fixed from the start based on a detailed brief. This works really well when the scope is clearly defined upfront.

Hourly rates work well when you're moving quickly with lots of small projects, especially once we've been working with you for a while and we've developed an efficient, streamlined workflow.

No, we focus solely on marketing, as that's our area of expertise. However, over the last ten years we've built strong partnerships across the MedTech community.

This question comes up a surprising amount. Podymos comes from the Spanish word "podemos", which means "we can". It was chosen as the company name because it really embodies everything we do as a company.

If you work with us and any of our team, you'll see everyone has a "we can" attitude. Nothing is too much trouble, and we'll achieve everything we set out to do. We swapped the "e" for a "y" to make it a unique name and also trademark it.
