Looking for a way to streamline your marketing efforts? Are you seeking digital tools that can save you time and effort while optimising your campaigns to improve their effectiveness?

We’re here to shed some light on the best-kept secrets in the marketing industry.

A marketer’s job often involves juggling what feels like hundreds of campaigns at once—email, social media, websites, research, and more. It can be time-consuming, but having the right tools will help you save time where possible and keep track of all your projects.

We’ve put together a list of the best tools to help you get your marketing back on track.

ChatGPT

Almost everyone has heard of ChatGPT, which is why it has claimed the number one spot on our list.

ChatGPT is a text-based AI software that can assist marketers in a multitude of ways. From writing articles to generating images and analysing large amounts of data, ChatGPT is the ideal assistant for any marketer.

Using a simple prompting system, you can tell ChatGPT what you need, and it will generate it instantly, saving you time without sacrificing accuracy.

There are two versions of ChatGPT. The first is the standard version, which is not connected to the internet. While this version has access to a vast amount of information, that information has not been updated since its creation in 2022. Although this doesn’t affect the program's features, it does mean that some information is outdated.

The second version of the AI chatbot is ChatGPT-4, which has a live internet connection. You can provide it with URLs or ask for the latest information and it will scan the internet to present its findings.

Canva

Canva is one of the most popular marketing tools used worldwide. Ensuring that everything you put out looks good isn’t always easy.

Design can be time-consuming and requires a niche set of skills, but luckily, Canva makes it easy for anyone to create professional-looking designs, even if you don’t have an in-house designer. It offers templates for various marketing materials, from social media posts to logo design.

Many of Canva’s features are free, and the platform is straightforward, allowing anyone to create great-looking designs with minimal hassle. You don’t need to be a skilled designer to build your latest social media post—Canva comes with hundreds of different templates and assets to help you out. These are free to access and edit and can be customised for different platforms.

However, by far the best feature of Canva is the brand kits. Canva's brand kits let you save all your colours, specialised templates, fonts, assets, and logos in one spot, so when it comes to building a new post, you have everything you need to keep your design on brand.

Remember, it’s important to ensure that all your marketing materials have a consistent look so that your brand is easily recognisable.

Hootsuite

Planning and scheduling content is crucial for maintaining consistency across your digital platforms.

Hootsuite is an excellent tool that allows you to schedule and post content across a wide variety of social media platforms, as well as create reports on how well your posts are performing.

While there are various scheduling tools available, our favourite is Hootsuite. It enables you to schedule posts, track mentions, comments, and direct messages, and provides insightful analytics, such as the day of the week when your posts receive the most engagement.

You can manage all your accounts across multiple platforms through a single dashboard, which will save you a significant amount of time.

SEMRush

If your company is interested in boosting its ranking on Google, SEMrush is a must-have tool. It allows you to track everything related to search engines, from organic traffic to keyword rankings. SEMrush comes with a wealth of features, including a keyword research tool and SEO content templates.

You can also use SEMrush to track your social media statistics, monitor Google Ads performance, and conduct competitor research—crucial for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and understanding which keywords perform well in your market.

Our go-to feature on SEMrush is the website health check, which highlights technical SEO issues on your website, such as broken links and missing metadata.

Campaign Monitor

In 2024, email marketing has an ROI of 36%, the highest among all digital marketing channels. Email is a great way to reach out to your audience directly and keep your brand at the forefront of their minds.

Campaign Monitor is an easy-to-use, build-your-own email platform that allows you to send professional emails to your mailing list. It’s a powerful tool that can help improve your marketing efforts and expand your campaigns.

With a high level of customisation and advanced settings that enable seamless A/B testing, Campaign Monitor is an excellent tool for enhancing the effectiveness of your marketing. Once campaigns are sent out, you can track open rates, conversion rates, and audience demographics. These insights will help you achieve even more success in future campaigns.

Vimeo

Vimeo is a video-sharing platform that marketing teams shouldn’t be without. It’s a fantastic tool because it gives your entire team access to videos and allows them to be stored safely online.

The helpful features of Vimeo include its embedding capabilities, reviewing tools, and the ability to post videos directly to other platforms, such as YouTube and social media. Instead of having to download and re-upload your videos, anyone on your team can access the same video and send it where it needs to be distributed.

The reviewing tools allow you to edit, leave comments, and make changes to your video without downloading video editing software. However, if you prefer editing on your computer, Premiere Pro integrates with Vimeo, allowing you to export your video online straight from the cutting room floor.

Recently, Vimeo introduced interactive tools to its platform, making it even more appealing. If you’re interested, you can learn more about interactive video here.
